Apps of the Month- August Edition

Apps of the Month - August

As much as we all try to avoid thoughts of summer coming to an end, it will inevitably happen and we will be back to the hustle and bustle of regular life. We once again will have to deal with heavier traffic, back to school, and questionable weather patterns, and let’s not mention the shorter days where the only sunlight we see is through the office window! While those days may be right around the corner, they aren’t here yet, so let’s prepare for them while we can. This month’s Apps of the Month feature three apps that will make your life easier so that you’re prepared and ready to go for anything that comes your way during the busy fall season.

It’s no secret that technology makes our lives easier. At the end of the day, why would you take the long way when you know there is a shorter, easier route for you to take? That is exactly what IFTTT is. It stands for “If This, Than That” and it allows you to create powerful connections with one simple statement that will manage and organize your digital life and eliminate manual steps. There are 121 channels within the app including Facebook, Evernote, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and your email as well as triggers, actions, recipes, and ingredients. The trigger is the “This” part of the recipe and the action is the “That”. An example of this at work would be “If and new photo is added to Instagram, then add the photo do Dropbox”. Cloze

When you’re running around and on the go, you don’t have time to be sifting through your social platforms in order to determine what is important and what isn’t. Tackle this issue with Cloze, the first app to organize your social media and emails in order of importance. This app will learn who is important to you, and will organize your feeds based on who matters most so you can easily separate the noise from what really matters. It will help you keep track of every contact, tweet, and post so you can stay in touch with the people that matter at the right times.

Now that you know the apps to download, you can rest easy knowing you will be prepared once the summer sadly comes to an end. You have five full weeks left, so make them count by making memories that will keep you going through the busy fall season ahead! Do you have apps you think should be featured in next month’s Apps of the Month? We would love to hear about them so make sure you share on Facebook and Twitter or by leaving a comment below!
