This is the best time of year to reflect on the highs and lows of the past year to help you prepare for the next. Following a short period of reflection, you can determine your goals for the coming year, and start making plans to help you achieve them. Single Property Websites – Create an individual website for free for all of your listings. This quick and easy way to build a website takes all the hard work and technical side of building your own website and does it for you. You will still have to buy a domain name but the design work is done for free!
Drip Campaigns – Insert your clients name into one of these drip campaigns and have valuable information periodically sent to them. It’s an easy way to stay top of mind with your sphere of influence while providing value. Previously the drip campaigns cost $199 to set up and then $0.03 per e-mail to send to your contacts. The set up cost is now gone and all that remains is the cost to send the e-mail.
YouTube Compatible Videos – YouTube is one of the most powerful search engines on the internet (second only to Google) and one of the best ways to boost your online presence and gain more clients. Now you can build YouTube compatible virtual tours and use RE/MAX Commercials that you can post directly to YouTube. Another great tool to use in your business!
2.) Safety Tips
Agent safety is extremely important and no potential deal is worth risking your life over. That being said, it’s important to take certain steps to help protect yourself. For starters, someone should always know where you are and who you are meeting. We don’t just mean telling people the name of who you are meeting either. Have potential buyers come to your office first, get a copy of their ID and leave it with someone at the office.
Utilize a buddy system anytime that you can. Have someone come on a showing with you, either another agent from your office or someone close to you who can even just wait outside the house while you go through it.
If you are doing an Open House you can even stay safe while helping your clients by having a Mortgage Broker at the Open House. They can help qualify potential buyers on the spot and you have safety in numbers.
If you have a smartphone (If you don’t, get one!) you should research a service such as Guardly to help bolster your safety.
We’re getting close! RE/MAX INTEGRA Skills & Education (RISE) is a great tool for learning. Think of it as the Canadian RE/MAX University. Here you’ll be able to learn on a variety of topics relevant to you. If there is a topic you want to learn more about just let us know and we can do a tutorial on it. It’s interactive too and allows you to ask us questions and we can even share our computer screen and walk you through it.
IFTTT.com is one of the best ways to automate some time wasting steps and helps to keep you organized. IFTTT stands for “If This, Then That”. How it works is you select a trigger (For example, If THIS happens (select an action) THEN that happens) and it does it automatically for you.
As an example, every time you favourite an e-mail (the Trigger) it saves the attachment to your Dropbox automatically (the Action). There are hundreds of recipes to help you save time, or you can even create your own. It especially works well with Evernote.
